Verizon Dare vs. Apple iPhone
by mjakucki on August 21, 2008 in Technology
I feel like to even compare anything else to an Apple product is blasphemy. I am a Windows user, despising Vista and everything Microsoft, but I do have an iPod, and I decided to go with the Verizon Dare over the iPhone. Here are my reasons to getting it:
1. My old phone was a Razr…
2. I can afford to carry a little technological gadget
3. My girlfriend has Verizon so to avoid cross carrier charges and running up of my bill, it saves me significant money in the long run. Case closed.
I am pretty happy with my Dare. I love the qwerty keyboard and the touch screen. I love that I have GPS at my fingertips. I like the size. I like the expandable memory (4 GB for 9.99 on ebay). It does everything I need it to. My only significant complaint it that its not compatible with iTunes. The email feature could be a little better as well. If I get bombarded with a million, the Dare sucks, the iPhone is better comments. So be it, I will enjoy the traffic.

I work for Verizon Wireless and I am a huge Apple guy. But I do admit that I like the Dare a lot. I plan on getting one as soon as I can. But if they ever come out with a CDMA iPhone I’ll be hopping on that.

Interesting point of view. I’ll consider changing my mind about this but for now I still don’t see things the same way you do.

Interesting point, I love it..Your thinking is quite similar to mine. I want to change my mind but don’t have a way out, really. After reading your blog post I’m thinking about getting the Dare, though. Thanks for the post.
