The New and Improved LetsMoveToTheMoon!
August 20, 2009
Here she is. I’ve finally finished working on this version of LetsMoveToTheMoon. I’ll shoot straight with you: this update was primarily for me. I mostly wanted to automate lots of the repeated tasks that I’ve encountered on the back-end. I’ve built SEO goodness, thumbnail structure (which still needs work), and speed-building. There’s still much work to be done (including optimizing my code), but I’m pleased with what I’ve got so far. I’m no designer, so although I know that this site won’t win any design awards, I’m content with what I’ve managed to pull together.
There will still be some bugs to work out, but I should have that all taken care of relatively soon. The one issue that I’m not able to fix is the loss of all posts and comments from the last 2 1/2 months. I was able to restore from a backup from June 3rd, but unfortunately in switching servers I lost the last few months of stuff. On the bright side, I’ve put off this redesign for so long that that loss only meant about 4 posts, although I lost a significant number of comments on past posts. Oh well. Thanks for reading, let me know if you see any bugs, and expect new content soon!
