Revolutionize Your Stapling Experience

The other day I was browsing Lifehacker‘s articles, and I found a link to a blog post that gave instructions on how to use a stapler in a way that I had never seen before. I asked around and found that about half of the people I asked hadn’t seen this before (and frankly, I think the other half were lying). I think it’s a very cool and practical tip.

The premise is that you push up the metal plate under the stapler and swing it around. This changes the way that the staple bends and creates a temporary “pinning” effect. It’s nice because the staple can then be easily pulled out from the paper. I’ll certainly be using this.

    Sounds intriguing but I’m still confused – can you add a couple more photos of what the end result is like?

    Actually if you go to the link at the bottom of the post there are more specific instructions and some more pictures about the process. Thanks for bringing that up.
