Facebook Cheapens Birthdays

Birthdays are pretty strange. Some would argue that birthdays are stupid. It’s cool to celebrate someone, but a birthday is pretty arbitrary. Regardless, I realized the other day that Facebook’s birthday features cheapen birthdays.

A WordPress Theme Idea – Good or Bad?

Recently I wanted to find some sort of application or service that would allow me to save things like quotes, sermon notes, and images that I found thought-provoking or worthwhile–almost a personal database of cool stuff. I went through a mental list of all the options I could think of, including but not limited to Evernote, TiddlyWiki, MediaWiki, and even plain-ole Microsoft Word. I ruled each of them out for various reasons, and I settled on building a WordPress theme. Continue reading . . .
