N.T. Wright Holds His Own Against Colbert

July 9, 2008

This may not be interesting to many of you who may not be familiar with N.T. Wright, but those who are will hopefully enjoy this as I did. Wright, everyone’s favorite Anglican bishop (Desmond Tutu is an archbishop) and author of the recent Surprised By Hope (which I read and found to be very, very good), was recently interviewed on The Colbert Report. I was surprised while watching it as to how well he held his own. In fact, he even cracked a couple of jokes from time to time! Wright managed to – I think – get across his point while not looking like a fool. Most surprising to me, though, was that Stephen Colbert seemed mildly interested and somewhat familiar with the topic. So check out the video – I definitely recommend it.
