Speak Messages, Emails, and Events Into Existence!

Monday, August 11th, 2008

I was talking to a buddy of mine and he recommended the following website: Jott. Apparently, you can call this number (Jott), and it converts your voice, anything you say, into emails, text messages, reminders, lists, and appointments. You can link it up to google calender. Its like an organizer that you talk to and it puts it into word form. Its compatible with the new iphone, which I don’t have, I have the new Verizon Dare. (I would have got the iphone except I needed Verizon). Anyway, I haven’t had the chance to try it out yet so if anyone wants to give it a shot and let me know, that would be awesome!

Walmart’s Extraordinarily Risky Logo Change

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Walmart LogoI’ve been watching the Olympics quite a bit, and something I noticed in one of the ads was Walmart’s changed logo. I looked it up online because I was a bit underwhelmed by the change, and I found that they have a history of doing this. Check out the timeline of Walmart logos. It’s fascinating, really.

The Messiah Has Come?

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

I think this video is hilarious. Whoever created this was a genius.

Edit: I’m slowly becoming less sure of my original opinions on this. At first review, I simply thought it was funny. Now that I’ve seen it several times, however, I’m not so sure. I’m starting to open up to the validity of the opinions of many who say that not only this video is cruel and disrespectful but also that it’s going to hurt Obama’s campaign for the wrong reasons.

In Case You Were Wondering

Monday, August 4th, 2008

In case you were wondering, today was a huge milestone for me. I purchased my iMac about a year ago. It’s a great machine with a reasonably-large hard drive. With that in mind, I’ve been reluctant to empty my Trash. This has always been a problem of mine, really. I hate to let stuff go from the computer in case I ever need to go back to something. Many times this has come in handy. As my hard drive gets more full, however, I decided it was necessary. So today, for the first time, I emptied my trash. All 43gb of it.
